    Come along and meet the Re-Read volunteers  handing out up to three, free second-hand books per person and accepting donations of books, video games, DVDs CDs and vinyl.

    Askern Community Library is pleased to work with Friends of Mac Gallery to offer a series of art workshops using a range of materials and processes. To really get your creative energy flowing there'll also be opportunities to experience complementary therapies such as Reiki and Indian Head massage.

    Sessions are Free and open to anyone with an interest in being creative or looking to relax, soothe emotions or reduces negative feelings. They are informal, lively and self-contained so it doesn't matter if you can't make it every time.

    We all have a story to share about our lives.  This is a chance to tell yours or to help others share their own.

    We are looking to support people who are living with dementia to tell their story in a way they can share with those around them to promote understanding of who they are.

    You would be working 1-2-1 with a volunteer who will help you tell your life story.  They will support you to shape a positive future by using your past life experience and your wishes for the future.

    We are seeking people who want to tell their story and volunteers who, under the guidance of Doncaster Admiral Service, would be able to help people tell their stories.

    Award-winning crime author, Michael Fowler, is visiting Denaby Community Library and Hub on Friday 16th September, 10.30am to 12noon to launch it Crime Café book club and to give a free talk about his books.

    Rotherham born Michael Fowler, former police officer turned crime writer will tell us how his hobby became a new career path following his retirement.

    With two compelling series and now a standalone thriller Michael Fowler is a top 10 Amazon seller and continues to carve a name for himself as one of the most popular writers in the genre today.

    Denaby Community Library is launching a Crime Café which will meet every third Friday of the month between 10.30am and 12noon to talk about crime fiction, reading an author a month and discussing the books read. You can meet like-minded readers of crime fiction, discover about new authors and find out about new fiction releases. Refreshments are also available.
